This month, we’re making a set of four fabric-covered magnets in warm fall colors. Each one will feature its own embroidered detail, creating a coordinated set for keeping the important papers visible.
Build and paint the magnet bases, then wrap the front cards in fabric.
The School Days Magnets are starting to take shape. I’m gluing two chipboard pieces together for each base and painting the boards white to keep the fabric colors bright. I’m also wrapping the front cards in fabric, including the two embroidered pieces.

Every Stitched Form project is built using French cartonnage, a traditional craft that transforms chipboard, fabric, and paper into beautiful, functional objects.
Instead of learning techniques in isolation, you'll learn them while creating projects you'll actually use and enjoy.
As you complete projects throughout the year, you'll naturally build your cartonnage skills while making pieces designed for modern everyday living.
Many projects also include optional embroidery for those who want to add a personal touch.
